The chance for survival of both twins is 70%. In 90% of affected pregnancies at least one twin survives. The increased risk of neurological damage with varying degrees of disability compared to normal twin pregnancies remains (6% severe and an additional 7% mild disabilities) but appears lower than the risk following serial amnioreduction.
