Cost estimate
Upon receipt of your request we will provide you with a rough cost estimate, usually within 24 hours on weekdays.

To provide you with a more exact cost estimate, we must forward your request to our experts, who, based on the information we receive from you, will propose a treatment plan, if treatment at the University Medical Center Hamburg (UKE) is possible. The treatment plan serves as a basis for our Cost estimate, which also represents only an approximate amount of treatment costs. These can vary depending on the exact course of treatment.

We will forward your request to our experts only if - after receipt of the rough cost estimate - you confirm, that you are still interested in treatment at the University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf.

Advance payment
The full amount specified in the cost estimate must be deposited in a designated University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf bank account before treatment begins. Please note that the medical treatment cannot start before the entire amount has been deposited. We cannot accept guarantees of cost coverage by embassies, consulates, ministries, insurance institutions, employers, etc. as a substitute.

Patient brokers
The University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf does not maintain contractual relationships with individual patient brokers or brokerage agencies. Patients from brokers or agencies do not receive preferential treatment, and the University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf does not pay brokerage fees or charge for these.

Dates
The International Office will arrange all appointments at University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf facilities. We will gladly accommodate your wishes.

Visa
If you need a medical visa to enter Germany, we will gladly provide you with an official invitation letter for the embassy. We require a photocopy of your passport and the passport of the person(s) accompanying you. Since the invitation must contain confirmation that the treatment costs are covered, the invitation can only be issued after receipt of payment. You may subsequently schedule an interview with the German embassy in your home country. Upon presentation of our invitation, a visa is usually being issued without any complications.

Travel preparation
We are happy to assist you with further travel arrangements. Upon request we will arrange accommodations in partner hotels and transfers from and to Hamburg Airport. Our patients can benefit from special conditions, provided by Lufthansa.
